1. What are cookies and browser storage?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device when you visit a website. They are used for a wide range of purposes, from keeping you logged in to tracking your behaviour across websites for advertising.

This website does not use HTTP cookies. Instead, it uses two browser-native storage mechanisms:

Both mechanisms store data locally on your device and are subject to the same-origin policy โ€” meaning only pages served from the same origin can read the data.

Unlike cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage data is never automatically sent to a server. It exists solely in your browser and is only accessible to JavaScript running on the same site.

2. What storage we use

The following is a complete inventory of all browser storage used by lodirobotics.com:

Name Type Category Purpose Duration Set by
nerve_subscribers localStorage Necessary Stores early access sign-up form submissions locally in the visitor's browser. This data is only accessible to the site's admin dashboard from the same browser and device. No data is transmitted to any server. Until browser data is cleared lodirobotics.com
nerve_dash_session sessionStorage Functional Maintains the authenticated session for the admin dashboard (dashboard.html). Prevents the need to log in on every page reload within the same browser session. Session only (deleted when tab is closed) dashboard.html

No advertising or profiling storage: We do not set any storage used for cross-site tracking, behavioural advertising, retargeting, or user profiling.

3. Third-party services

Google Fonts

This website loads the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these font files, the request is made directly to Google's CDN servers.

ProviderServiceCategoryData sent to providerProvider privacy policy
Google LLC Google Fonts CDN Third-party Your browser's IP address and User-Agent header are sent to Google's servers as part of the HTTP request to fetch font files. Google states it does not use this data to build profiles or serve ads. Font requests do not set persistent cookies in the visitor's browser. Google Privacy Policy

We rely on Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the legal mechanism for any international transfer of data involved in this service.

If you wish to prevent your browser from making requests to Google's servers, you can use a browser extension that blocks external font loading, or configure your browser to block requests to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. The website will fall back to system fonts and will remain fully functional.

4. What we do NOT use

For complete transparency, the following is a non-exhaustive list of tracking and analytics technologies we deliberately do not use on this website:

5. Your controls

Clearing browser storage

You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage at any time through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. This will remove the locally stored sign-up data and admin session. Instructions for major browsers:

Blocking Google Fonts

To prevent your browser from contacting Google's servers for font loading, you can use browser extensions such as uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, or NoScript, or configure your browser's content blocking settings to block requests to fonts.googleapis.com.

Do Not Track (DNT)

This website does not use any tracking technologies, so your browser's DNT signal has no practical effect. However, we respect the principle behind DNT and confirm that we do not track individual users across sites or sessions.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honour Global Privacy Control signals. Since we do not sell or share personal data, GPC signals do not change our data practices, but we acknowledge and respect this signal as an expression of your privacy preferences.

6. Legal basis and consent

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and its national implementations, storing data on a user's device requires either consent or a necessity exemption.

Our storage is strictly necessary for the following reasons:

Because all storage is either directly initiated by you or strictly necessary for a function you explicitly requested, a cookie consent banner is not legally required under the ePrivacy Directive for our own storage. The Google Fonts service involves third-party data transfer, but Google Fonts does not set persistent cookies in your browser.

Regardless, if you wish to prevent all browser storage on this site, you can do so using the browser controls described in Section 5.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this Cookie & Storage Policy if we introduce any new storage technologies, third-party services, or if applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

Any material changes โ€” for example, the introduction of analytics or advertising tools โ€” will be communicated to registered early access users by email at least 30 days in advance, and we will implement appropriate consent mechanisms where required.
