When will Nerve ship?

We are targeting an early access hardware shipment in Q4 2026 for the first cohort of registered users. Early access subscribers will be notified by email before anyone else.
What is the estimated price?

We are targeting a retail price of approximately $299 USD per board. Early access subscribers will receive a locked-in 20% discount.
Is the firmware open source?

The firmware is proprietary and closed-source — this is how we maintain the performance and safety guarantees. All user-facing software (Nerve Studio, Python SDK, ROS2 package) is free and open.
Can I use Nerve with non-ROS2 systems?

Absolutely. Nerve communicates over USB-C and CAN-FD, and includes a Python SDK. ROS2 is natively supported, but it is not a requirement.
Do you offer OEM or bulk pricing?
